Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu. The Parties discussed prospects of deepening of the bilateral cooperation and joint challenges in the context of the Russian aggression.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada thanked Turkey for its permanent support for Ukraine, in particular, for its support to the Crimean Tatars, "who suffer the occupation Russian authorities."

Groysman advocated further deepening of the interparliamentary cooperation in different sectors, inter alia coordination of efforts within the framework of international organizations and interparliamentary assemblies.

In turn, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu noted that "Ukraine is a close friend and ally of Turkey."

The Prime Minister stressed readiness of Turkey to boost investments in Ukraine and bilateral turnover between the two countries. He said that these would be possible thanks to the expected free trade area between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey. Thus, Davutoglu called on the Ukrainian Parliament to immediately ratify the Agreement on free trade area after the negotiations and its signature.
